Opinion: South Alabama Spin Classes Are a Must-Try!

Monday through Sunday, the spin schedule is packed with options that cater to both your timetable and fitness level. Feeling ambitious on a Monday night? Join Lydia at 5:30 p.m. for a spin session that will leave you exhilarated. Prefer a midweek challenge? Madalynn and Caress keep Wednesday nights lively with their high-energy spin, and do not overlook the Sunday evening class with Justine—it is the perfect way to start the week strong.

What sets these classes apart is the vibe. Personally, I love going to the 5:30 p.m. classes. By then, it’s dark outside, and they turn on the LED lights in the spin room. The lights flash in sync with the music, creating this amazing atmosphere that feels like a mini concert. One time, the playlist was packed with throwback hits, and I was pedaling so hard to the beat that I completely forgot I was working out. It’s incredible how the right combination of music, lights, and energy can make the time fly by.

Everyone in the room was struggling, but the instructor shouted, “This hill is temporary—your strength is forever!” It was exactly what I needed to hear at that moment, and it gave me the push to finish strong.
