Student Pet Highlight 10/2/25

Welcome to The Vanguard’s student pet highlight!

Periodically, we will be featuring 3 pets of South students. You can submit your own pet by emailing a photo, along with the information provided below, to thevanguard@southalabama.edu. 

Meet our furry friends for this week!

Pet Name: Dani California

Student: Lauren Morse, Sophomore

Dani is a Yorkie and lives in Baldwin County. She was the runt of her litter and won’t grow to be over 6lbs! She loves to play fetch and be dressed up in bows.

Pet Name: Otto

Student: Allie Miller, Senior

Otto is a mini dachshund and his favorite activities are going fishing, riding on the front of a kayak, and running back and forth through the living room. 

Pet Name: Azuela 

Student: Allie Miller, Senior

Azuela is a pit bull and her favorite activities are eating frisbees, snuggling with her favorite blanket, and watching Grey’s Anatomy.
