Article by: Kiersten Brackelman, Contributing Writer

Every year JagProductions holds a homecoming concert for South students. Last year we saw the performances of Niko Moon and grammy award nominee Blanco Brown. This homecoming, the annual concert was on Thursday, October 30. It was free admission for students and was held at the USA Mitchell Center. The concert brought the week of homecoming festivities to an exciting close. The opening act was Adam Paddock, and the main performer of the night Hot Chelle Rae.

Adam Paddock is a rising indie singer-songwriter from Columbus, Ohio, who was certainly a favorite of the crowd. He has opened for notable artists such as WALLOWS, Jeremy Zucker, Chelsea Cutler, and Lisa Curtis. He energized the audience with his crowd work and played top songs from his 2025 released album “The Greatest Compromise.” This included songs such as the title track, “The Greatest Compromise” as well as “Wake”, “Archetype” and “Tender.” He also performed a cover of The Backseat Lovers’ “Kilby Girl.” Adam is continuing performances in various cities: Feb 7, 2026, in Harrisonburg, VA, Mar 7, 2026, in Columbus, OH at the Columbus Against the World festival, and Mar 28, 2026, in Marquette, Michigan. Hot Chelle Rae is a Nashville-based pop rock group. Founded in 2005, they were formerly known as Miracle Drug. Performers of the night were two of the original members, Nash Overstreet and Jamie Follesé. They played their well-known hit song, “Tonight, Tonight,” as well as many others from their discography such as “I Hate LA,” “I Like it Like That,” and the crowd favorite “The Labubu Song.” During the performance there was a Labubu toss of three- personally signed by Nash- Labubu’s into the crowd. The band also performed covers of popular songs such as “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan, “APT” by Bruno Mars and ROSÉ, and “Halo” by Beyoncé. Hot Chelle Rae will be performing in the upcoming year at AnEmo Extravaganza, presented by Destroy All Lines in Australia: Feb 22, 2026 in Melbourne, Feb 28, 2026 in Sydney, and March 1, 2026 in Brisbane.
