2025 was a year of star-studded engagements. Most couples took their announcements to Instagram, but some, like actor Tom Holland and actress Zendaya, took their engagement announcement to the red carpet. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, let’s take a look back on the biggest engagements from the past year. 

January

Kate Harrison and Chloë Grace Moretz
The If I Stay actress took to her Instagram on January 1 to announce her engagement to her long-time girlfriend, photographer Kate Harrison. In the photo, they showed off their engagement rings set with Victorian diamonds. The two have been going strong since 2018.

Zendaya and Tom Holland
The Spider-Man actor and actress walked the red carpet of the Golden Globes, with Zendaya wearing a sparkling diamond on her left ring finger. TMZ broke the news, telling fans that an insider shared that Tom popped the question between Christmas Day and New Year’s. The couple first made headlines in 2020. 

February

Lainey Wilson and Delvin Hodges
Country singer and Yellowstone actress Lainey Wilson and former Steelers quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges announced their engagement on February 12 via Instagram. The couple posed in front of famous country star George Jones’ home in Tennessee. Wilson and Hodges have been together since 2021, but did not make their relationship public until 2023. 

Kyle Kuzma and Winnie Harlow
The Milwaukee Bucks forward proposed to his model girlfriend Winnie Harlow on February 13th. The couple has been together since April 2023, but didn’t go public until June of the same year. Kuzma and Harlow announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post that included pictures of them on his private jet. 

March

DK Metcalf and Normani
Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf and singer Normani announced their engagement during Metcalf’s introductory press conference with the Pittsburgh Steelers on March 13. He proposed while on a spring break trip for his sister. The couple was introduced to each other by R&B singer Ciara in 2022, and went public in July 2023. 

Gabby Thomas and Spencer McManes
Spencer McManes, an entrepreneur, proposed to three-time Olympic track winner Gabby Thomas on March 25. It was a surprise proposal on a rooftop in Austin, Texas. The couple announced the engagement the same day in Vogue and on Instagram. Their story began in October 2022, after connecting through Instagram. 

May

Simu Liu and Allison Hsu
Shang Chi actor Simu Liu proposed to his girlfriend Allison Hsu, a marketing executive for Interscope Records in Paris, France. The happy couple announced their engagement on May 11, via a joint Instagram post. Liu and Hsu have been dating since 2022. 

Candice King and Steven Krueger 
The Vampire Diaries and The Originals actors are engaged! Candice King, who was on both shows, and Steven Krueger, who was a supporting actor in The Originals, announced their engagement on King’s Instagram. They began dating in December 2023, and two years later, that same month, announced that they were expecting.

Hannah Wright and Marco Donatelli
The Love Island USA season 5 winners shared a joint Instagram post announcing their engagement on May 29. Just the day before, Donatelli proposed to Wright in Punta Cana, both dressed in all white. The couple has been together since the end of Love Island USA in August 2023.

June

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner 
Pop star Dua Lipa confirmed her engagement to Fantastic Beasts actor Callum Turner in a Vogue interview on June 12. There is no official engagement date yet. The two began dating in January  2024. 

Kayla Radomski and Jason Segel 
The How I Met Your Mother actor and So You Think You Can Dance alumnusare engaged! Segel proposed at the Huntington Library in Pasadena. They announced the happy news on Radomski’s Instagram on the 18th. They were first seen together in 2023, during Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights in Los Angeles. 

July

Hayley Kiyoko and Becca Tilley
The Disney actress and singer proposed to her long-time girlfriend on the 10th in Mallorca, Spain, taking to Instagram to announce the happy news with the caption, “My dream girl said yes to forever.” Later, in December 2025, Tilley proposed in Kyoto, Japan. The two began dating in 2018, after meeting at Kiyoko’s Expectations release party in April.

Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell
Cleveland Cavaliers guard proposed to R&B singer and actress Coco Jones on July 11th, and announced it through Instagram on the same day. They shared photos of a romantic poolside view on separate accounts. The couple started dating in 2023 after they met at a networking event. 

Paige Lorenzo and Tommy Paul
The tennis star proposed to lifestyle influencer Paige Lorenzo in Nantucket on the 13th. Lorenze and Paul shared the announcement on a joint Instagram post. The couple has been dating since 2022, after meeting at the U.S. Open around August and September, then went Instagram official in October of the same year

Victoria Pedretti and Ethan DeLorenzo
The You actress and her fiancé, photographer and filmmaker Ethan DeLorenzo, made a joint post on Instagram, sharing the happy engagement news. The private couple hasn’t been together long, according to their social media, with DeLorenzo’s first post about Pedretti in March 2025. 

Tyrese Haliburton and Jade Jones
On the basketball court at their alma mater, Iowa State University, Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton proposed to his college sweetheart, Jade Jones. Jones is an elementary school teacher, and an Instagram influencer and model. The couple has been together since 2019, when he played for Iowa State, and she was a cheerleader. 

August

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce 
Global singer-songwriter Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end are engaged! Their love story began in September 2023, when Swift was seen at Arrowhead Stadium at the Chiefs vs Bears game, in a suite sitting with Donna Kelce, Travis’s mother. The two shared a joint Instagram post on the 26th, with the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

September

Elsa Hosk and Tom Daly
The co-founder of the eyewear brand District Vision proposed to Swedish model Elsa Hosk in their rose-filled, New York apartment. Hosk took to Instagram on the 10th to announce the engagement. The couple has been together for a decade.. 

Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks
The Hunger Games actor proposed to his model girlfriend, both sharing the news via Instagram, with Brooks sharing the news the day of, and Hemsworth sharing the day after. The two were first spotted together in December 2019. 

Claudia Sulewksi and Finneas 
The musician and brother of singer Billie Eilish proposed to YouTuber and actress Claudia Sulewski on September 22. They posted a joint Instagram post on September 24t, announcing the engagement. They began dating in 2018, after meeting on the dating app Raya. 

Jimmy Tatro and Zoey Deutch 
YouTuber Jimmy Tatro proposed to his girlfriend, actress Zoey Deutch, three months prior to the announcement, in June. The pair made a joint announcement post on the 28th on Instagram with the caption, “Three months engaged to the love of my life.” The two first went public on Valentine’s Day of 2021. 

October

Keith Powers and Ryan Destiny
The Perfect Find star and actress Ryan Destiny announced their engagement on a joint Instagram post on October 5. The post includes a homey photo shoot of the couple, with the caption, “Engaged to the love of my life.” The pair have been on and off since 2015, with a brief split in 2022, and then rekindled in 2023. 

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes 
The former Good Morning America anchors announced on their podcast The Amy & TJ Podcast on October 14, that they are engaged. They told listeners that they had been engaged three months prior to the announcement, making the date of the engagement some time in September. They began dating in 2020, amid scandalous rumors of the two seeing each other while being in separate relationships. Because of the rumors, they had to leave the show, but cleared up the rumors, saying they were both single when they began dating. 

Camilla Mendez and Rudy Mancuso
The Riverdale actress is engaged to her Músisca costar. The proposal took place on October 24, a surprise that took place in front of friends and family in Los Angeles. The couple began dating during the making of their film in 2024. 

Dove Cameron and Damiano David 
The Måneskin frontman proposed to his girlfriend, singer and actress Dove Cameron, sometime in October. The couple did not immediately share the news, waiting until January 3, 2026 to announce the engagement via an Instagram post on Cameron’s account. The pair met in 2022, but didn’t go public until October 2023. 

November

Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux 
The Formula 1 driver proposed to his model girlfriend in early November. According to Sports Illustrated and People magazine, the proposal included their dog, Leo, with a heart shaped arrangement of rose petals and candles. Leo wore a tag that said, “Dad wants to marry you!” The pair posted photos on Instagram on November 2. Mleux and Leclerc began dating in early 2023, with a public debut at Wimbledon in July. 

December 

Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando
The Regrettes drummer and singer Miley Cyrus are engaged. The couple confirmed their engagement on December 2 at the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere. Morando and Cyrus have been together for four years, first meeting in late 2021 on a blind date. 

Mariah the Scientist and Young Thug
Fans were shocked at Mariah the Scientist’s concert on December 16 when her boyfriend, rapper Young Thug, came on stage and proposed to her. Videos of the night circulated on social media quickly, with some fans congratulating the couple, and some fans disgusted at Young Thug for the way he interrupted her performance, along with the way he touched her inappropriately during the proposal. The couple has been dating since 2021, with breakup rumors spreading in early 2025. 

Jordyn Woods and Karl Towns
New York Knicks center has proposed to model and activist Jordyn Woods. They announced their engagement on Christmas Day via a joint Instagram post. The post included pictures taken from the engagement, where the couple was on a terrace at Overstory bar in Manhattan. The pair has been friends for a long while, even before they began dating in May 2020.
