Hancock Whitney Stadium is on time and on budget for the Fall 2020 football season for the South Alabama Jaguars according to administration officials.
Several amenities will be added to the site including LED lights, Wi-Fi in designated areas, elevators accessible to all levels, universal ADA seating, an apparel store with jag gear and more.
The stadium will include approximately 1,800 parking places. Additionally, over 6,000 parking spaces will be available throughout the campus on game day. Shuttle rides will be offered from the Moulton Tower to the northeast side of the stadium, so fans do not have to walk from their car to the stadium.
ADA seating will be accessible for all around the stadium including elevators that will access premium seating levels. Seats will be available for companions as well to join those using ADA seating, according to Dr. Erdmann.
Hancock Whitney Stadium will make South Alabama a more competitive university for recruitment.
“The last piece to the puzzle was the on-campus stadium,” says Coach Campbell.
The Jaguar Training Center will be open game days for family and children to enjoy their selves before kick-off. Alcohol sales will be permitted only in the stadium.
