The University of South Alabama sent out an email alert on Saturday, Oct. 2 about a potential sexual assault that occurred on campus.
The alert, which was sent at 7:42 a.m., said that the sexual assault occurred on Oct. 2 at approximately 4:30 a.m. in one of the on-campus residence halls. University police are investigating the incident.
According to the report, the victim reported that the perpetrator was an acquaintance. USA Police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the campus community. Updates will be provided if the situation changes.
