The Jaguars were back at home in Hancock Whitney Stadium on Sept. 19 and were able to bring the home crowd a win of 41-36 over the Bobcats of Ohio University. 

In the first quarter, Keenan Phillips rushed for six yards for the first touchdown of the game. Ohio responded with a touchdown by Riley Neer, tying the game. Towards the end of the first quarter, the Jaguars responded with another touchdown, this time by Rod Gibbs.

The second quarter was led by the Jaguars in scoring, with both a touchdown by Trae’von Dunbar and a 32-yard field goal by Davis Little. Going into halftime, the Jaguars were ahead 24-7.

The Bobcats responded strongly going into the third quarter, scoring two touchdowns in the first three minutes of the quarter, one by Victor Rosa on a33-yard run and the other by Riley Neer, closing the gap and bringing the score to 24-21. However, the Jaguars responded well with a touchdown by PJ Martin, who scored on a 1-yard run.  

The fourth quarter had an energetic ending, starting with a 5-yard rushing touchdown by Trae’von Dunbar. Soon after, the Bobcats responded with a touchdown from AJ Miller, who was also successful in the two-point conversion attempt. Another field goal by Davis Little put the Jaguars ahead 41-29. In the final minute of the game, Dom Dorwart scored a touchdown, making the final score 41-36. 

Jared Hollins led the game in passing yards, passing for 192 yards. Jeremiah Jones-Thomas led in receiving yards with 74 yards. Defensively, Damyrion Darby had an impressive 1.5 sacks.
